Take a Look

all have in common?

Detroit , MI (1st on the poverty rate list) hasn't
elected a Republican mayor since 1961;
Buffalo , NY (2nd) hasn't elected one since 1954;
Cincinnati , OH (3rd)...since 1984;
Cleveland , OH (4th)...since 1989;
Miami , FL (5th) has never had a Republican mayor;
St. Louis , MO (6th)....since 1949;
El Paso , TX (7th) has never had a Republican mayor;
Milwaukee , WI (8th)...since 1908;
Philadelphia , PA (9th)...since 1952;
Newark , NJ (10th)...since 1907.

Einstein once said, 'The definition of insanity is doing the same
thing over and over again and expecting different results.'
It is the disadvantaged who habitually elect Democrats ---
yet are still disadvantaged.

Am I disadvantaged?

Is this serious? Is this really serious?? The republicans BOAST their record of voting to look out for rich America. You really think these places should elect a republican representative? And james, please don't quote Einstein... You don't do him justice.

Thats the whole point! These cities elect democrats and are no better off. Why not give a republican a chance. It can't get any worse.

Anf if your logic is true and Republcians are for the rich and Democrats are for the middle class howw are there any Republicans in power? Considering the wealthy are the top 5%, as Obama states, he would be carrying 95% of the vote. He isn't and no Democrat has or will so that arguement is bogus.

The country has seen high unemployment rates and a growing deficient, therefore using your theory, we should automatically elect a democrat?

James, how do u not think Democrats represent the Middle and lower class.
and about u saying "Considering the wealthy are the top 5%, as Obama states, he would be carrying 95% of the vote. He isn't and no Democrat has or will so that arguement is bogus."-u forget about the whole backwoods redneck factor
and xenophobic people like yourself

Matt that just sounded dumb and like it came from an elitist. Also that argument is not bogus. In the last election George Bush carried the vote of people with a college degree and people with some college. And Ryan how do you figure we should automatically elect a democrat by what I just said? And just because I actually support enforcing the laws of our country with regards to immigration does not make me a xenophobe. Heres why the democrats don't support the middle class. Read my post on the Democrats not being able to deliver change. Those statistics should be enough to force the democrats to rethink their party. Or pherhaps middle americans want the choice of where to send their kids to school, or want marriage defined as between a man and a woman, or want to use our natural resources at home, or want to be able to control their social security accounts, or believe that people in general are responsible enough to own a gun, or lastly don't want their money going towards welfare when that same person could be doing what they're doing, working. If you would like an indepth post about about why the middle class is aligned with republicans better just tell me and i will do create one.

James,
1) how does that sound elitist
2) Bush carried those votes, i don't know, maybe because they make a lot of money!
3) Ryan says that because Republicans did those things on the most part
4) I call u a xenopnobe because i asked you what you said about foreigners, and u said "I don't care, all i care about is America. There are over 200 other countries, with 6.3 billion other people out there, and guess what, not all of them are terrorists.
5) Middle America mostly lives in or near a city. They have plenty of schools to go to, don't need guns to protect themselves and there farm from cattle rustlers, and have easily accessible public transportation. But why would they want to support their bosses from getting richer while they don't benefit, need to pay for higher taxes and food off the same paycheck while the rich CEOs get tax cuts.
Think about it

What sounds elitist is you saying that people in rural areas are not as smart as people in cities like yourself and therefore cannot make an informed decision. Just because social conservatives differ from your beliefs they are not dumb. And know he didn't carry them because they make a lot of money because people with college educations comprised 26% of the vote. Now not 25% of people make a lot of money. And playing Republicans as rich people isn't true. 9 of the 11 richest senators are Democrats, and in fact the richest, John Kerry, is worth half a billion dollars. Ryan missed the point of this post which was that poor cities elect democrats for many years and yet nothing gets done. Since they have been there for so long they have the power to change things. But they dont. You clearly misunderstood what I meant. I never recall saying people in other countries are terrorists. My point was that we shouldn't govern out of the best interset of others, but out of the best interest of America not Europe. For example if Europe doesn't approve of something we do like Iraq, that should have very-little to no impact on the decisions we make as long as we do what is best for our country. Just because Europe has implemented socialism, we don't have to. Also, wanting to enforce immigration laws does not make me a xenophobe. The problem is that people don't have school choice in big cities. Chicago public schools are bad. But with the creation of Whitney young and other magnet shools things are improving. The beuracrats continue to put themselves first. Elitist liberals oppose this yet, send their kids to private schools. School vouchers have been major successes everywhere they have been implemented. Vouchers also help pay for schools that many poor, inner city kids cannot afford by providing government funded scholarships. If those kids were given the opportunity to go to those schools they would get a better education. Why do democrats oppose that? If they were really the party of helping the poor they would allow them to go to school anywhere they want? The clearly don't so specifically tell me why democrats oppose school vouchers. Lastly, it is almost even the number of people in cities verus those in rural areas. People do need guns to prtoect themselves. Public transportation is not available in large quantities at all. But that misses the point. 84% of people support using our domestic ennergy resources. Are 84% of people dumb? See one of my very early posts about democrats strongly opposing the use of domestic energy. In no way do republicans support raising taxes on anyone. Also, if businesses don't make money they can't pay their workers or create new jobs, period. Deomcrats however support income redistribution which ultimately is socialism. If Obama is elected taxes for some could raise to above 60%! Thats just not right. Do you believe anyone no matter what should have to give more than half of their income to the governemnt? The top 10% of people pay 70% of the nations taxes. What percentage should they pay? Is it really fair for people to be forced into carrying other people of the country especially in those numbers. Explain how high taxes in a recession benefit the economy? I also ask if you personally have ever paid income taxes, and filled out a 1099 tax form. Sales tax doesn't count. Me doing so drives my position on this issue. I will explain later.
